What You Saw
Our whole story:
- The song mirrors the human struggle of longing, falling, hurting, and choosing love beyond ego.
- The secret angels can never know â angels don't experience the same raw free will vs. surrender battle we do.
- They don't wrestle with pride, doubt, or pain in the flesh. Only humans can choose to lay it all down.
- Lay down everything that exhausts itself over truth, beauty â that's the refining fire: all the pride, ego, arrogance, vanity eventually burns out when it meets Truth (God's love).
- Take in that sweet nectar of pain, staying drunk on the vine â pain, paradoxically, becomes the doorway.
- If we drink it honestly â without numbing, without running â it turns bitter into sweet, and truth blossoms.
- Discover our true identity. You don't find trust first and worship that â you don't get trust as a gift upfront. You embrace it by surrender, by taking off your mask.
- At the cross, you find the ordinary that angels can never have â the "ordinary" is holy.
